Directions: Ski Liberty ski area is 60 minutes from Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Take I-270 north to Frederick, then Route 15 north to Emmitsburg, MD, exit onto South Seton Avenue. At the traffic light, turn left onto Route 140. At the Pennsylvania line, Route 140 becomes Route 16. Turn right on Route 116. Ski Liberty is 3 miles on the right. From Baltimore, MD (60 minutes), from I-695 take I-795 north to Route 140. Follow Route 140 to the Pennsylvania line, it becomes Route 16. Turn right on Route 116. Ski Liberty is 3 miles on the right. From York, PA (45 minutes), take Route 30 west to Gettysburg Square. Go 3/4 of the way around the square to Baltimore Street. At the first stop light, turn right on Route 116. Ski Liberty is 8 miles on the left. From Hagerstown, MD (40 minutes), take I-81 to exit 9. Turn right on Maugans Ave. After 4 miles, turn left at stop sign on Route 60 north. After 3 miles, bear right on Route 418. Turn right on Route 16. Left on Route 116 for 3 miles to Ski Liberty. |
