Directions: Mount Snow is located only 29 miles from Interstate 91, the major highway servicing the heart of New England. It is Vermont's closest big mountain from Northeast metropolitan areas. Mount Snow is located in the Green Mountain National Forest and operates under a special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service. Take I-91 to Vermont exit 2, then Route 9 west 19 miles to Route 100, and Route 100 north 9 miles to Mount Snow or Haystack. The resorts are 68 miles from Albany, 117 miles from Hartford and 213 miles from New York. Driving times average 2.5 hours from Boston, 4 hours from New York City and 1.5 hours from Albany. A shuttle bus runs between Mount Snow and Haystack ski area. |
